Tokyo Bunka Embroidery

ž Wholesale distribution to overseas is also possible.

Bunka-Shishu(Bunka Craft) is the deep tradition of Japanese embroidery going back nearly a century. Bunka Shishu uses threads to create very detailed pictures that some liken to oil paintings. Unlike some other forms of embroidery, bunka is fragile and is usually presented as artwork rather than as clothing adornment. It's growing in popularity in Japan, and internationally, in the U.S., Canada, UK, and New Zealand.

A masterpiece with three-dimensional effects like watercolor paintings, with this unique artform, using simple and beautiful colorful fabric and needle.

New to Bunka Shishu?
We have a wide range of new 'Shishu-kits' (starter kits and advance works), for the beginner to the expert of embroidery. Our kit includes charming patterns, fabrics and yarns with simple to use, numbered patterns, for easy yet fine stitches to express depth and delicacy.

Educational & Healing Value
We also carry Bunka-shishu for educational institutions, for students to cultivate aesthetic sensibility. 'Bunka' is also helping with rehabilitation of hospital patients, as the busy needle work, helps heal and rejuvenate the fingers and nerves of people of any age.

Enjoy the gorgeous handcraft, and deeply enriching of our Tokyo Bunka Shishu kits today!

We accept pay pal.
